She didn’t win the Miss World Pageant
yet, but while we were busy questioning if she should even have won the Miss World Kenya Title, by Jove, she went and won the Miss World ‘Beauty With a Purpose’ award.
Now while most of you are tilting your heads like ‘Erm, what?’ Let me save you the googling. This is essentially what used to be the Miss World Scholarship awarded to the person with the most relevant and important charity in their country.
What is this important charity you ask? The Jigger Worm Epidemic in Kenya. She’ll be working closely with Cecelia Mwangi, the 2005 title holder, to raise awareness on this issue.
Her win secures her a place in the Final 25(and not 15, like a certain newspaper is claiming).
Hats off to Natasha for making the country proud. We do give credit where it’s due.
Best of luck.
And hats off to Altaf for the tip(pause).
