R.I.P. Osama Bin Laden – “Justice Has Been Done”

This morning, a jubilant chorus of relieved sighs and ‘Hell yeah! America rocks!’ must be sweeping across Obamaland.

Last night, Osama was finally sent to his grave. That’s right, the Obama boys over in Pakistan bombed Osama and his boys and, this time, they didn’t miss.

While we could go on and on about the conspiracy behind previously debated facts and speculate on whether or not the man cum symbol really died yesternight, I think what’s most important to note is that the U.S. government that created this mythological terror has acknowledged his demise. Strangely, I feel this will change little or nothing in our furiously polarized psyches.

My bet is that Muslims will still get the backhanded treatment they’ve been getting. Arab nations will still feel the pressure of the heel of American army boots on their necks. Terrorism will still be a tool used to control the masses. And perhaps the saddest outcome of all this – or lack thereof, really – is that the facts will still not matter. People will still go about their lives presumptively prejudiced and programmed when all the answers are a Google search away.

Anyway, Osama did commit a lot of heinous atrocities and was a symbol of all things negative. Obama is not wrong in stating that ‘Justice has been done.

The world however better brace itself for a rocky aftermath and not begin to think sh*t just got better. Alas, there is a shockwave of potential retaliations and so many other things to be scared about so don’t come out of your basement bunker rejoicing just yet.

  1. I dont even want to think about what “Retaliation” could entail given how stretched thin world resources are at this moment…will we ever know a world without terror.

  2. Pardon my saying this but I think Osama’s death came at a good time. If he were to re-appear for a moment,he should thank Obama profusely for the killer-attack. Why do I say this?
My understanding is that alQaeda was created primarily to fight the gvts there seen as US stooges within the Arabic world. This has now changed dramatically especially after Tunisia and Egypt. The role and ideals that alQaeda had on this “emancipation” have been rendered redundant and obsolete after the masses took to their Squares,[they take to the Squares these ones, not to the streets] and sent packing their leaders with others like Saleh-Yemen, alAssad-Syria hanging by the skins of their teeth! Heck, even the Bahrain monarch, they want out!

As such, I feel that alQaeda had in recent months, especially since 2011 rolled, has become a baggage a majority of Muslims can’t afford to take since they are slogging out with forces themselves, and peacefully while at it…!

Either way, it was a job well done. Whether the world is safer…. it is still early to tell. The head has been severed and the remaining 2nd in Command, alZawahirri, isn’t as respected nor as financially endowed as Osama. Lets watch the events unfold.

  5. Ok. This fallacy has been perpetuated for too long. There are too many discrepancies for it to be legitimate and the timing is really too convenient for Obama’s Re-election bid. Please lets stop digesting anything CNN and BBC throw at us and accept it for the God honest truth.
